10 Weeks Old

Mei Mei is 10 weeks old today. According to the baby center website, we're among the few lucky ones, because she fairly consistently sleeps for 5 to 7 hours at a time during the night. It also said that her general sleeping habits will continue on through her early childhood. Looks like we're going to have a night owl, like her daddy.

She's smiling a lot more, and for longer periods now, mostly for me and Kelly, but if she's in a good mood, she'll smile for anyone that smiles at her.

She can sort of sit up. She can't hold herself up at all, but if we brace her lower back she does really well. If she's in the mood. I was trying to get a picture of it, but she wasn't having any of that.

We're still working on the spit up and puking issues. No real success so far, except that she got through the whole day yesterday without puking on anyone in a suit or nice dress. Except Mommy.

9 Weeks Old

Little Miss Anni is 9 weeks old today. She had her 2nd month pediatrician visit, complete with vaccines today too. The full story is here. The immunizations made her very drowsy, and I haven't been able to keep her up for any stretch of time since, except to eat.

Annika's Blessing

We will be blessing Annika on September 28, 2008 at 9 o'clock in the morning, at 100 W 600 S in Logan! I understand that 9am is early to have to be in Logan, so we hope to see everyone at least at the brunch after. We don't have an exact location on that yet, but I'll let you all know when we do.

8 Weeks Old

Our precious girl is 8 weeks old today and will be 2 full months on Sunday. She also just spit up on me. Hang on... Okay, better now. She's got cooing down to a science, but still doesn't give us big gummy smiles, just little ones.

She likes to sit on my lap while I type and watch the lights on the screen. Her Grandma LeAnn got her a Sesame Street gym, that she just adores. She loves to swat and just kicks her little legs like crazy. Her coordination is getting better, but is still just rudimentary, of course.

She's got a sour tummy and is constipated today. Poor little muffin.

7 Weeks Old

Annika is 7 weeks old today. She's starting to smile and coo. They're just little ones, but she's getting better at them.

She's sleeping for 4 to 5 hours at a time during the night too. She still thinks that bedtime is at 1 or 2 am. Better than when it was 2 or 3 am, I suppose.

She's still spitting up after every feeding. We're worried that she has acid reflux like her Daddy.

6 Weeks Old

Anni is 6 weeks old today. She's doing well, except for being extremely grumpy the past few days. She's been spitting up and throwing up (always on Kelly) more than normal. We think she probably just has a tummy ache. Something in my diet must not be agreeing with her.

I have to go back to work today. Kelly's got the day off, so he's going to watch her. Mom is off tomorrow, so she's taking the Tuesday shift. My 6 week OB checkup is tomorrow too. I think I've got a touch of mastitis on my right side, so hopefully he can't help me take care of that.

She likes baths now, and sometimes falls asleep in the middle of them.

She's still working on getting her fist to her mouth to suck on. She hasn't quite got the coordination of her arms and hands down to a science yet.
