27 Weeks Old

Anni's been a handful all week. Her vaccines must have made her feel horrible. She's finally starting to be herself again, but has gotten really clingy.
Naps are still a challenge, but it's getting easier. She fell asleep on her bear this afternoon. Don't worry, I took the bear away after I took the picture. She's not smothering herself, I promise.

The new baby foods are hit or miss. We're going to keep trying, of course, but she's definitely got an opinion about which ones she likes and which ones she doesn't. She doesn't seem to like the super sweet ones, which is a good thing, and is iffy on meat mixes. She loves cinnamon, raisin granola and turkey with sweet potatoes. She hated the chicken and apples and pulled some really funny faces at guava.

She loves her new jumperoo at great Grandma's but I'll let her take the pictures of that. It's just too cute.

26 Weeks

Anna has added "Dada" into her repertoire of babble. It's her new favorite, and Kelly's too. I'm trying to get "Mama" in there, but with no success.

According to Grandma Sonia, she's not enjoying green beans now either. I guess green equals gross. I mixed some peaches with a bowl of rice cereal tonight, and she really loved it. She stole the spoon from me on the last bite, so I just let her try to feed herself and play with it. There was a messy result, but she had fun, and that's the important part.

Her 6 month old check up in on Wednesday. She really seems to be putting on the pounds, so I'm hoping that she's gone from the 25th percentile to the 50th.

Her medicine is working more and more all the time, she barely spits up at all anymore. It may just be from the solids, or just because she's getting older, but I'm putting my money on the medicine.

No Peas Please!

Anna officially hates peas. Apparently that face that I pull when something tastes gross is hereditary. I didn't quite capture it, but it was spot on!

25 Weeks Old

Anni learned how to sit on her own! Well, balance anyway, she can't sit herself up, of course. It was just like a light clicked in her head one day and she thought, oh, this is how sitting works. She hasn't had any problems with it since.

She loves her toys now that she can play with them properly. I can't believe how fast she's growing. Her 3 to 6 month clothes are getting small, we'll have to start putting her in 6 to 9's now.

She's got such a happy and loving personality. We have the sweetest baby I could imagine.

24 Weeks

Mei Mei is a talker! She just jabbers all the time, and blows raspberries. On occasion she can roll from her tummy to her back. She can probably do it just fine, but prefers to yell at us and have us do it for her.She gets such a serious look on her face sometimes, and will just lay there and talk to us. I know she's just telling me all about her day. It's absolutely adorable.

She hasn't been napping very well the past few days. She'll be just exhausted and screaming, but won't close her eyes. I guess it's something that most babies do.
