23 Weeks Old

We've given Anni sweet potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, and pears so far. The pears and butternut squash are her favorite. She smiles and smacks her lips for them and yells if we're not quick enough with the next mouthful.

She loves her Christmas toys, and a pro at sitting in her high chair. She's still not sitting reliably on her own, but will be there before too much longer.

She's got a little bit of a fever and has been pretty cranky the past few days. We think it's just from teething. We finally got her medicine, so hopefully that will make a difference too.

She's starting to reach to be picked up occasionally, but I don't think she's quite made the connection yet. She wraps her arms around me sometimes too. I'm not sure if it's a hug or just reaching and grabbing for my hair.

Anni's First Strained Food

Anni got vegetables for the first time on Christmas Eve. Grandma LeAnn and Grandpa Brent got to be there too. She didn't even pull a face at the sweet potatoes, she just gobbled it up and grumped for more. She didn't have any issues with them, so we've given her carrots, which she liked, butternut squash, she adored that, and we're gonna do some green veggies or fruits on New Year's.

22 Weeks Old

We have an angel. She naps, sleeps, eats, and looks just like a perfect little cherub. Complete with dimpled elbows and fat rolls on her thighs. She has her cranky moments, but is a sweetheart more often than not.

She had Aunt Eileen and Uncle Sid come visit yesterday and was just happy to be held and play with her toys the whole time.

This is her favorite toy, her stuffed puppy, Woofie, from Isabelle and Jasmine.

21 Weeks Old

Anni Banni has the hiccups today. They don't seem to be bothering her, but they would me.

She figured out how to stand, supported of course, and loves it!

The Prevacid doesn't seem to be helping much. The only difference we've noticed is that her puke doesn't smell as sour and she seems a little more comfortable after she eats.

She's been a pill the past few days, and just cries and fusses whenever she gets put down. We kind of think she's been getting spoiled from somewhere... She also feels a little warm, has been stuffy, and has a little cough, so a head cold could be contributing,

We started giving her oatmeal baby cereal, since she's finished her first box of rice cereal. She likes it and is eating really well from a spoon. She'll be 5 months old on Sunday and we're debating on whether or not to give her pureed vegetables around Christmas or to wait until she's 6 months old. We've got her followup pediatrician appointment on the 23rd, so we're going to ask her opinion.

That's How I Roll

Annika has worked out all the details of rolling from her back to her belly. In the process, she's forgotten how to roll from her tummy to her back, she gets pretty mad when she gets stuck on her front.

20 Weeks Old

Nothing much going on this past week. Anni finally rolled from her back to her belly on her own. She can't do it very often, but likes to arch her back and turn onto her side. She's still iffy on the rice cereal. She loves faces, and will reach for the person holding her's face.

She's very cuddly, especially when she's tired, and loves to cuddle in bed with us before bedtime.

She's really enjoying all the lights on the Christmas tree too. She's playing with her voice a lot, mainly with volume. She's just discovering that she can make really loud, high pitched noises.

19 Weeks Old

It's been a busy week! Lots of new faces to see and people to puke on. The only ones who got hit beside Kelly and me were Abigail, Sid, and my parents.

She's doing better with the rice cereal, still cries while we feed her because she hasn't got her bottle, but is getting most of the cereal down. She's still puking a lot though, the only thing the rice cereal seems to be helping is her digestive tract. We had 3 blowouts this week.

She's getting much more coordinated and can grab what she means to most of the time now. She knows how to get her pacifier back in her mouth, but still hasn't figured out that she has to let go of it once it's in there.
