Rice Cereal

This is our first attempt to give Annika rice cereal. It went over fairly well. She wasn't too keen on the new taste, and wasn't very fond of the new texture and method of eating. We'll keep at it and she'll be a pro in no time!

18 Weeks Old

At 18 weeks old, Annika had her 4 month old pediatrician appointment. Her head cold is getting better, just a runny/stuffy nose now.

She found her feet yesterday! I love it when babies suck on their toes, so I'm very excited to have tons of cute pictures coming.

She's halfway to rolling over from her back to her stomach, she's just got to get her arms out of the way and she'll have it.

17 Weeks Old

Our angel is 17 weeks old and will be 4 months on Friday. Time sure does fly by when you have something to mark its passage.

I took Anni with me on my girl's night out on Saturday. Nicci's 9 month old little boy sure liked her, but I think Anna was still too little to notice anything beyond "hold me" and "feed me now." I think it'll be more fun for her when she gets big enough to sit up on her own and has a little more coordination to play with toys.

She still sleeps like an angel and drools like a sheep dog. We're hoping that she won't spit up so much once we start her on the rice cereal, hopefully next week.

16 Weeks Old

Our little Anna Banana is sure getting big. She's still getting the hang of rolling over. She'll do it about once a day on her own, more with a little encouragement. Naps are still a challenge. She still spits and drools like a leaky faucet too.

Giggles are starting to get a little more regular. She laughed for Mom on Saturday. I wonder what is going through her mind that makes her decide something is funny.

She's getting more responsive to our conversations. She loves to "howl." At the moment she's laying on her tummy watching Law and Order. She got mad at Kelly when he tried to pick her up because she couldn't see the TV.

15 Weeks Old

After 15 wonderful weeks, I've determined that we have the sweetest baby in the world! I may be a little biased, but that only matters if you disagree.

We got her to laugh again this weekend, but on a little bit. It was chewing on her thighs this time, rather than raspberries on her tummy.

She has gotten better about going to sleep at night, and usually is asleep by 11 and sleeps until 7. We start winter hours at work tonight, so I'll be home to put her to bed, even when I close.

She's still iffy on nap time, and usually only takes catnaps.

I love my cute little outfits!

Kelly has been sick, so we're a little worried about her catching it. His throat's been raw and he's got a cough. I'm worried it might be strep throat. We'll see if she's going to get sick in a few days. I still feel fine, so hopefully we've got enough immunity it'll pass through.

Queen of Daddy Mountain!

We pulled out the tape measure last night; little miss is just shy of 24" long. She's definitely going through a growth spurt. She's eating 4.5 oz now, and seems happier with that than just the usual 4 oz. She's eating a lot more frequently too. It's going to be interesting to see how big she is at her appointment on the 24th.

14 Weeks

Anni is 14 weeks old now.

Yesterday we took her up to Logan so Kelly's family could see her in her Halloween costume, pictures coming soon. The grandmas and grandpa were so happy to see her. She chattered up a storm, and was a good girl, beside puking in her costume anyway.

She puked while on her tummy today and stuck her face in it. That's what all the shiny is in this picture.

13 Weeks

Annika is 13 weeks old today and will officially be 3 months old tomorrow. She coos and smiles a lot, but still won't laugh for us again. Her hair is starting to grow in, so we don't have a baldy baby anymore. She's just a doll and is getting more personality every day.

She's getting close to rolling over, but can't quite seem to get her arms out of the way. She loves playing with her hands and is learning how to grip her toys. She's starting to mimic the cooing sounds we make at her sometimes too.
