40 Weeks Old

Only 12 weeks until Anni is a whole year old. It's gone by so fast! She's an angel and I couldn't ask for a more wonderful baby. I don't know what I'd do without those darling little giggles and messy faced smiles. She's our whole world.

She crawls really well, but doesn't like to go too far. She can sometimes pull herself up, but she doesn't pull very well, if she can push up, she's good to go.

39 Weeks Old

Anni's still working on crawling, but she knows she can do it and is quick when she wants something. Usually it's something we don't want her to have.

She's such a sweetheart, we couldn't ask for a better baby. She's in 12 month old clothes now, more or less. They're still a little big on her. We had a crowd at Grandma Cindee's on Sunday and she did really well. She didn't mind Sarah, Kelly, Abigail, or Josh at all.

She's teething, and it's hurting her quite a bit. She wakes up screaming sometimes or starts crying randomly, but a little oragel on her gums and everything is okay again.

On the Move!

Little Miss Annika has learned to crawl! She's growing up so fast, and is getting into everything. She's so busy it's hard to keep to focused long enough to get her to eat or to get anything done yourself.

She's still working out some of the kinks, and tends to try and crawl on her left knee and right foot. She just sits down and grumps when she gets tired or frustrated. The best motivation we've found thus far isn't toys, it's walking out of her sight. She tries to follow, and it's just adorable.

38 Weeks Old

Wow. Anni's almost been out of my tummy longer than she was in there. I think she's cutting another tooth, because she woke up screaming a few times last night. Kelly says she was an angel all day though, so it might have been as simple as a nightmare.

She did really well with visiting everyone and let everyone hold her at least a little. She was a little iffy on Great Grandpa Bernard, but loved Great Grandma.

She's totally gotten the hang of getting from her tummy to sitting now. She won't do it when I try to show anyone her new tricks though.

37 Weeks Old

Anni's second tooth came in this week. It's a little swollen over at the moment, but the other one is coming in strong. She loves being outside, so we're going to go take a walk while it's warm.

Her cousin, Josh, is quite a bit ahead of her. He is crawling, walking around the furniture, has 6 teeth, and is about 24 pounds. Our little Anni-bear is very close to crawling, tries to pull herself up, has just 2 teeth, and is maybe 18 pounds. We'll find out her official weight and height in 2 weeks.I just love all of her blonde hair and her sweet attitude. She talks to us all the time and is getting a lot of inflection in her voice. We can tell when she's curious, tired, irritated, having fun, trying to get our attention, talking to herself, just jabbering, or even singing.

36 Weeks Old

Anni learned to click her tongue this week. It confused the heck out of me, I couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from at first. We introduced her to Bear a few days ago. (For those of you who don't know about Bear: my grandma Sonia gave me a teddy bear when I was born. Being the creative child I was, he was named "Bear." Bear went EVERYWHERE with me for years. Mom had to re-sew his nose and smile several times because I loved them, quite literally, to pieces. He had more frequent flyer miles than most people. He went with me to college and almost went to my wedding, I elected not to take him then because I was afraid he'd get lost.) We haven't given Bear to Anni because I didn't want her to puke on him or love him into any more pieces than he's already in. She smiled at him and laughed. She cuddled him up to her face and chewed on his ear. I guess any friend of Mommy's is a friend of hers.

Little Miss has handled the move like a champ. She was afraid of Ross the first day, but warmed up enough that they watched half of Robin Hood together. When I brought her home tonight she smiled and played with him for about a half hour before bedtime.

35 Weeks Old

Busy week! Moving with a baby is definitely a challenge. She's getting into everything, I can't imagine what it's going to be like when she can crawl.
